Korea–Africa Excellence Awards (KAFXA) is a community recognition initiative created to highlight and celebrate Africans living in Korea. It exists to make African excellence visible, valued, and respected in South Korea.
KAFXA celebrates African excellence, strengthens Korea–Africa relations, and promotes professional achievement — run by a five-person executive board and the volunteers who make each ceremony happen.
- Monthly African Icon — identify and feature five standout individuals; one is recognised each month.
- Yearly Excellence Awards — the categories are announced, nominations are collected and reviewed, then the public vote opens once nominations close.
- The ceremony — winners are honoured in person; every nominee gets a profile on kafxa.org.
Three functions support the executive board so KAFXA runs as a credible institution beyond the annual ceremony.
